“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them, which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians: 3-4
No matter what you are going through or what challenge has woven its way into your world, remaining peaceful in your heart is vital to your survival. When it seems as if all hell is breaking loose in your life, you must fight for the peace of God to remain in your heart. It is only in that place of peace that you will be able to get a clear understanding of what your next move will be. During the test, trial or challenging situation, it sometimes seems hard to think straight or to even focus on what move you should make. Coupled with this dilemma, is the decision of how to make the move in the most appropriate way, that would not cause even more problems. It is the grace of God that enables us to stand when we feel like falling apart. Sometimes, life hurts. With all the disappointments that we face, sometimes we forget to go to God in prayer and instead run to things or people who can’t fulfill us the way God can. He created us in his image and He knows best how to take care of us. Our part is to trust Him even when we don’t know what He is doing or allowing to happen in our lives.

When we are going through situations, we must learn to apply God’s word so that we can stand. His word is our strength. God is waiting on us to ask for His help. He is our help. So, at anytime, you can call on Him. He is waiting for you to open yourself up to Him and put your trust in Him.
With every heartache that arises, you should always remember to rest in the assurance that you are in His hands. Utilize the situation as a learning experience and glean everything you can from it. We are usually so consumed with what’s going on that we fail to realize what we need to learn from it. Putting God first is the key to survival. Also remember Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” God’s got your back!
Romans 10:9 states, “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”
Repeat this prayer for salvation:
Lord God, I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son that You sent to shed His blood for me and die for my sin. I willingly turn away from sin and invite Jesus Christ into my heart as my personal Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you have accepted and trusted Jesus as your personal Savior, begin to read the Holy Bible every day in order to get to know Jesus better. Begin talking to Him in prayer every day. Be baptized, worship Him, fellowship with other Christians in a church where Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible is preached and is the final authority. Begin to grow in the word daily and tell others of Jesus Christ. Believe God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit and to send any deliverance you may need so that you may have life abundantly. (John 10:10).
Prayer for hope and help in stressful times:
Father God, I pray that You help me in every area of my life. Help me remember that You are the Almighty God and can protect me in turbulent times. I surrender to Your will and plan for my life no matter what is going on in the world. I trust that my life is in Your hands and I choose to meditate on Your word rather than ungodly counsel. I pray that You allow Your peace to permeate my heart so that I can walk in the authority that You have given me. Your word says that, “You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7). So throughout every day, I trust You to provide Your Peace in the Midst of the Storm. In Jesus' name, Amen.
